Hephaestus Class Attack Platform

The Hephaestus Class Attack Platform is the latest in planetary assault technology. It can be deployed into orbit in a solar system and act as a mobile base for your fleet. This ship is currently only available in the EXTREME version of the game.

Evaluation

ADVANTAGES

Once it is moved to the desired solar system, launching attacks from it shortens the time it takes an attack to arrive. It's massive storage also allows it to store an enormous amount of resources.

DISADVANTAGES

The Hephaestus Class Attack Platform is very expensive to build and operate as well as being the single slowest ship in the game. It may also be scanned by Probes and the Oracle. The main disadvantage is the speed as someone could easily colonize the slot you want to use long before it gets there.
