Starfleet Commander talk:Requests to become a Administrator\Bureaucrat
Request 1: Jamesa for Administrator (Failed)
I want to be an Administrator. I want to see that if someone did vandalism, add stupid word or sentences that doesn't even makes sense, which is weird. Anyways, I want to help this Community Portal. I can really work hard and always try my best. My qoute is "Think before you say" and some people didn't think before they say and that how they got in trouble. --Jamesa 4 July 2010, 22:32 (UTC)
- Support We can always use more admins --Phil Sutherland 20:47, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
- Neutral I'd like to withold my vote for now, as I believe I have not seen enough participation in the Wiki by this user to form an opinion. Silver Gate Squadron 03:53, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- Support Although I've only seen Jamesa edit a few select pages, I'm sure he'll make a fine addition to the group. Jesus Saves 21:26, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- This user was operating multiple accounts that were blocked for inappropriate language. User:AceLucky was one of them.--Phil Sutherland 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Sorry about blanking this page my computer kept went offline and I just want you to know that I'm sorry. And AceLucky is my sister's username, she was not one of them and she was sorry for vandalism about ANH. And Jamesa, my brother's username, he messed up by accidently unblock AceLucky because the computer went offline. You, Phil are so rude and impolite, you didn't even completely understand and not thinking straight. Why do you deserve to be both Administrator and Bureaucrat. If you're thinking I'm one of them, you're wrong, I'm not one of them. I want this stop and start over again to back the way it was including Jamesa as a Administrator again. Once again, I'm sorry about blanking this page. PhoenixReaper
- Oppose I was the least jazzed about him becoming an admin before, and then his first move is to unblock someone? There's no reason why he should be reinstated. Certainly not right away. And by the way, how does "the computer went offline" explain supposedly "accidentally" unblocking someone? He'd still have had to be on the proper page for it... One more thing: the status quo antebellum does not involve Jamesa being an administrator - he held that position for less than three hours and unblocked AceLucky within the first 25 minutes! Silver Gate Squadron 05:36, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
- The Internet went offline everytime. It happens to everyone's computer that went offline. Including you too, you did made some mistake on wiki. PhoenixReaper
- no it didn't I didn't block anyone by mistake. --Phil Sutherland 21:26, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- I was talking to Silver Gate Squadron, not you Phil, you need to stay out of people's conversation. That was very rude at all. You need to think twice before you say it or otherwise you get yourself in trouble. My own father told me that and I live with it. And you put me in trouble not me I didn't, you did. PhoenixReaper
- As far as I know, it has not happened to him either. --Phil Sutherland 21:47, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yes it does, he call me that his Internet went offline too! Beside, EVERYONE makes mistakes and so do you, in your REAL life! And I'm not abusing an multiple account! And give Jamesa another chance and he wants his page unprotected, ask nicely. If you give people another chance, it will all over and start a new beginning. Think about it. PhoenixReaper
- Well I know that you are a multiple account. If you ask again I will get you banned from SFC.--Phil Sutherland 22:11, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- One more time, this is my only account and this is from Ohio and I don't use those two accounts and I don't even know their password. I'm trying to help wiki to stay in order and organizes. That is all. Also you edit it the message that I made in June 10 and it gone by you. You are trying to frame me and banned me. Yeah right, and unless, you leave them alone and I will leave you alone. Does that sound okay to you? PhoenixReaper
- Please inform me when I said anything about my Internet going out or my making any sort of 'mistake' on the wiki. I do not recall making either statement, even privately - nor have I ever privately corresponded with you. I will still point out, too, that to make any sort of mistake involving un-blocking someone, even if it was due to an Internet failure or error, there would still be some intent as you'd have to have the block controls page open. To think that someone could make a mistake like that within 30 minutes of being given admin status stretches believability beyond the breaking point. Silver Gate Squadron 22:27, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- I mean it could happen to so*meone computer, only when it acting up with error. I'm not saying about your computer or your Internet going offline. I don't have Block Control Page and their not even block by my computer. I'm still trying to fixed my computer to keep the Internet going. PhoenixReaper
- Well, regardless of all of this - neither you nor Jamesa will ever have admin status unless it is done over my very vocal objection. You simply have the wrong attitude for it. You're welcome to continue participating as a regular member if you can do so within the rules. Silver Gate Squadron 22:45, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- And I think that sums this conversation up. If you don't like our decision then go wine to Matt, but im sure his answer will be the exact same.--Phil Sutherland 22:54, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Fine, I will talk to Matt. PhoenixReaper
Request 2: Gary Mintz for Administrator (Passed)
At the following suggestions
"I noticed you have been doing alot of editing around here. You may apply for admin status here if you want. --Phil Sutherland 20:51, 5 July 2010 (UTC) Thanks for helping out with removing the vandalism. Jesus Saves 19:34, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

- Well he obviously passed. Please help me congratulate him on his talk page--Phil Sutherland 00:09, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Request 3: Silver Gate Squadron for Bureaucrat (Passed)
Never thought I'd be suggesting this, but I think the time has come that we should have multiple active bureaucrats (such that we have a system of checks and balances). As I believe I am the longest-serving active admin, I'm nominating myself purely by default.
I will of course be personally abstaining from voting on this matter. - Silver Gate Squadron 18:39, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Support I thought I was the longest-serving admin. I had picked up where Agnus Mensk left off. I still remember how Phil asked me how to get admin status. Anyway, enough reminisces. Dude, I personally think SGS is a shoe in for this. Jesus Saves 20:09, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Neutral I think he definitively earned the responsibility but im not sure why we would need more than 2 Bureaucrats.—The preceding unsigned comment was made by Phil Sutherland (talk • contribs) at 13:32, 23 December 2024..
Request 4: LunarAvenger for Administrator (Passed)
I used to edit pages to try and make them more clear and understandable, I also removed vandalism a few times when I saw it. Now I log into the wiki and everything is protected. This is good, but certain pages are locked except to admins and I find errors that I would like to fix (I looked up speed for example, someone put that it is the round trip time... which is true in extreme but not in the other 75% of the universes) I simply want to be able to supply information more clearly. Almost everything I do in the game I learned here. I simply want to help. I am not sure how i would react to needed to block an IP-address, I can't guess at everything ahead of time. I just want to make the wiki better. Not sure if I have enough edits, or those things. But I am honest and will try my best.

Request 5: KrypticHawk for Administrator (Passed)
I am not sure if this is the way I am supposed to nominate myself to be an Administrator but here it is. I would like to be an Administrator. I have played SFCO and SFCE. I currently only play SFCE and have long since had an active account in the original version. I have an alliance page for the alliance I am in and update it on a regular basis. I find this site very helpful and use it almost on a daily basis. If made an Administrator, I will dedicate myself to making this community a better place to visit and more fun to want to visit.
- Support I agree we need all the help from experienced players we can get. Also I no longer play and will need to be replaced as I plan to stop coming here at some point. --Gary Mintz 20:50, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your support. I wasn't sure if I was allowed to post here or not so please contact me if not.--KrypticHawk 04:56, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
Hey, KrypticHawk is an officer in my alliance and I think he would be a great Admin. he has taught me a lot, even before I was in his alliance.
- Support I support the decision. --Phil Sutherland 19:25, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Thank you everyone. I am grateful for this opportunity. If there is anything I need to do in particular or if there is anything I can do, let me know.
Request 6: Microfix Merlin for Administrator (Passed)
- I would like to Nominate Microfix Merlin to become an Administrator. I have messaged him and he has submitted to the pressure. I have watched him create pages and he has the skill and wiki knowledge to be a good Administrator.
- Since I'm nominated, I've scribbled down some words about my self on my user page --Microfix Merlin 16:13, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
