The Ambassador Program is an Interalliance Liaison Officer Exchange Program, developed by Rez Caladon of the Grey Wolves

Purpose

This program is meant to help build better relations between other alliances & the Grey Wolves.

Guidelines of the Ambassador Program

1. Liaison officer assignments are granted on a volunteer basis only. No one shall be required by threat or force to become a liaison officer. While an alliance member may be asked to undertake this task, refusal to do so shall not result in any sort of reprisal from the alliance leadership.

2. A set time period for exchange will be agreed upon by the leaders of both alliances involved in the liaison officer exchange. A liaison officer applicant must be willing to commit to join the other alliance for the agreed upon period of time. This time period, unless specified otherwise, shall be no less than 1 week.

3. Liaison officers are not to violate the guidelines of the alliance to which they are exchanged. However, liaison officers will not be compelled to commit any acts which go against the guidelines of their home alliance or their own morals. For this reason, while not required, it is recommended candidates for liaison officer assignments be in diplomacy mode.

4. Alliance commanders are not required to assign liaison officers any rank higher than "member", or the equivalent thereof, within their alliance. Liaison officers are not required to receive any rank which may grant them control over the membership roster or message board maintenance within the alliance they are visiting.

5. Abandonment of a liaison post by a liaison officer renders the exchange contract null & void. A new contract may be negotiated with new terms should the alliance commanders wish to set up a new exchange. The liaison officer who abandoned the post is not eligible to be returned to it in the new contract.

6. Should a liaison officer return to their home alliance prior to the end of the agreed upon time period of officer exchange & render the exchange contract null & void, the partner alliance has the right to pull their liaison officer back to their own alliance immediately if they so choose. The remaining liaison officer also has the right to make this decision independently should he become aware of the nullification of the contract by the other party's liaison officer.

7. In the case of an emergency at a liaison officer's home alliance (ex. war), the liaison officer may be recalled & the contract nullified without penalization. Once the crisis is averted, the liaison officer may return to finish the remainder of the liaison assignment.

8. During a liaison officer assignment, liaison officers have certain duties which they should be prepared to meet. These duties include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following: making buddies in the alliance they are visiting, sharing basic gameplay tips & strategies, detecting ways to help both alliances run more efficiently within the boundaries of their guidelines, attempting to help their assigned alliance commander find new NAPs if requested to do so, finding new NAP opportunities for their home alliance, & aiding in helping find potential trade partners in their assigned alliance for members of their home alliance.

9. Should a liaison officer decide to remain with their assigned alliance permanently & make this their new home alliance, there shall be no reprisal against them from their former home alliance. In turn, attempting to permanently recruit a liaison officer away from their home alliance is considered grounds for immediate contract nullification, & the liaison officer may return to his home alliance without repercussions.

10. These guidelines are subject to amendment by the leadership. If an alliance participating in an exchange wishes to impose special conditions, these may be imposed upon that exchange only, & will not appear as an amendment to the general guidelines. Only changes that will affect every officer exchange contract will appear as amendments.
