what are they anyway? all i know is they belong on moons. anyone with more info?

Can warp gates be used to cross galaxies? For example, if I have a jump gate at [4:133:2] and a jump gates at [3:289:9] can I link them? Is there a limit to the number of galaxies that can be jumped in this fashion? -Grynch
