can i research say....warp 4 from a colony and it will apply to my other colonies and homeworld.....or do i have to research it from my homeworld for it to apply to my colonies..????  ty

can i research say....warp 4 from a colony and it will apply to my other colonies and homeworld.....or do i have to research it from my homeworld for it to apply to my colonies..????  ty
