Are there rules as to who you can defend?
- It is pretty explicit: "You can send forces to help your allies and buddies defend their world. On the Galaxy page look for the chain link icon on the right side of the screen under the Actions Column." i.e. anyone in your alliance, and your buddies. If they have a chain link icon, you can group defend with them. --Rob 15:14, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
I don't see this icon on all my buddies. Do I only see it on those who are under attack?

I have an alliance member, who is a buddy, 3 planets down. No Defend link.
Yet another alliance/buddy does have a defend link.

It appears that in order for us to be able to defend or attack as a group. We need to be at about the same skill level. How pants is that?
Say you had 'Mr No.1' in your alliance. And you/I were getting attacked. Although he is on the planet next to yours, and your buddy, and in the alliance he is no help at all. He cant defend or counter attack the aggressor. Is this a floor/bug??
