'''1) Read the WIKI''', really guys, its fracken awesome! Even though many of our members are now ranked <5000 we still read stuff on there most days! Always best to be sure on a decision, especially when it could cost you a few million in resources.

'''2) Battlecalc...''' need I say more ? [http://www.battlecalc.com Battlecalc] - Just don't forget that they can always move ships to defend... so if in doubt send more ships AND KEEP PROBING THROUGHOUT THE ATTACK! Always make sure you probe as close as possible to the attacks arrival time to see if the resources have been moved or a defending fleet has arrived. (See Ninja Attacks/Defences)

'''4) FLEETSAVE!''' Ok this is pretty basic... when you aren't using your fleet, send it somewhere. The best method is a Harvest mission (Harvest missions CANNOT be intercepted and are undetectable!) but other methods are as a transport to another planet or simply attacking inactives at a slow speed. The whole idea is that your fleet is away from your planet while you are away from your computer/asleep. N/B I love destroying enemy fleets, and recycling them... you even get points for ships destroyed ;P)

Important ships to unlock early are Dionysus(harvesting/resource saving), Gaia (building new colonies), Poseidon (fastest attack ship in the game and also great for knocking out artemis & missle batteries)

'''9) Scale your defences.''' If you fleet/resource save regularly people wont attack your planets (much) In fact my homeworld has still not been attacked! They take alot of punishment and they stop rapid fire! Oh and Ares ruin any defense... not much you can do about that. See also the below post about defences.

Stargate Atlantis

A new alliance created by avid and highly active players.

Where Are We? The Majority of our Members are found in the 50-80 Range of Galaxies, however we have players with bases situated G20-G80.

Where Are We?... Really! Most of our members are in the UK & US, however we have members in Taiwan, Canada, Germany and Italy.

Where Are We? We can also be found on #TheSGA on Quakenet.... sometimes :)

Want to join? We are now primarily an invitation only alliance, However if you feel you have something to bring to the alliance feel free to try. In the entry request please state the following information:

  • Which galaxies you operate in.
  • Where you heard of us.
  • Which Stargate is your favourite. (j/k... well it's always nice to know ;p)
  • Why you want to join.

Our Leadership

The Leaders of our fair alliance are the honourable...

  • Jester! - Fleet Admiral (Tactics)
  • galactic pinball wizard - Vice Admiral (PR)
  • LTC Sheppard - Rear Admiral (Tactics)
  • K'Ting - Rear Admiral (Intel)
  • Ricardo Vanegas - Captain
  • BuRn4by - Captain (PR Officer)
  • Richard Grey - Commander (Intel)
  • Sinn Dar K'Tesh - Commander (Intel)
  • Bullrae - Commander
  • Chico Allison - Lt Commander (Membership)
  • Daniel West - Lieutenant
  • Commander DOC RON - Lieutenant
  • Scott the Scot - Lieutenant
  • Chico Allison - Lt Commander (Membership)
  • Daniel West - Lieutenant
  • Commander DOC RON - Lieutenant
  • Scott the Scot - Lieutenant

Our 10 Commandments

1) Read the WIKI, really guys, its fracken awesome! Even though many of our members are now ranked <5000 we still read stuff on there most days! Always best to be sure on a decision, especially when it could cost you a few million in resources.

2) Battlecalc... need I say more ? Battlecalc - Just don't forget that they can always move ships to defend... so if in doubt send more ships AND KEEP PROBING THROUGHOUT THE ATTACK! Always make sure you probe as close as possible to the attacks arrival time to see if the resources have been moved or a defending fleet has arrived. (See Ninja Attacks/Defences)

3) KNOW YOUR ENEMY! This means lvl up your Espionage Tech AND send multiple probes! Sending 5+ probes will usually give a complete readout on an enemy including all their Weapon, shield and armour tech ratings which will become essential when you begin actively raiding.

4) FLEETSAVE! Ok this is pretty basic... when you aren't using your fleet, send it somewhere.

5) RESOURCE SAVE! As above but you get all your transport ships (always try and have enough to carry ALL your resources at one time) and send them off on a mission with the cargo FULL of your resources... that way
A) An enemy probe will make the attacker move onto richer planets when looking for ripe targets
B) An enemy attack will result in little or no spoils... making the attack rather pointless.

An alternative is to start (Then cancel when you get back)
A) Researching new techs
B) Building new buildings.
This can become the most effective process later on when building begin to cost millions of OCH (e.g Foundry Level 2 cost 2M Ore 1 M Crystal and 200K of Hydro a fairly effective way of tying up 3M+ of resources overnight and allowing you to send your ships out raiding or transporting to other planets.
N/B SHIPS/DEFENCES CANNOT BE CANCELLED SO QUEUEING THEM IS PERMANENT!

6) Tech Up Responsibly! Feel free to ask for advice when leveling up your tech, everyone has their own path to greatness... and we all get the Prometheus in the end ;) Important Tech to remember are AI (# of fleets), Espionage as mentioned earlier, and then really its your choice! Dont forget to check the Tech screen in order to work out which tech will let you unlock new ships & technology. Important ships to unlock early are Dionysus(harvesting/resource saving), Gaia (building new colonies), Poseidon (fastest attack ship in the game and also great for knocking out Artemis & missile batteries)

7) Build mines! And build them high... Once they are level 15+ they really start cranking out resources, and trust me you need every last spec of crystal & ore when trying to unlock those later levels of Tech.

8) Build droids and put them on your mines! Every droid adds 2% bonus to production... a level 20 ore mine brings in 4056/hour (97344/day) with 7 droids it brings in 4621/hour (110904/day) that's a difference of 13560 EVERY DAY! think how quickly those droids paid for themselves... and then think how quickly they help you build shiny new ships ;)

9) Scale your defences. If you fleet/resource save regularly people won't attack your planets (much) But remember that 1 IPBM can wipe out ALOT of defences... and cost you ALOT of resources... so remember to build ABMs ASAP! and Don't forget your decoys! They take alot of punishment and they stop rapid fire! Oh and Ares ruin any defense... not much you can do about that. See also the below post about defences. But most importantly remember that sometime players will loose resources and ships simply to gain ship destroyed points and improve their ranking.
And sometimes it can be a challenge to get past someones defences, in a recent war with TPC leader Andy Swain we sent over 100 IPBMs to his homeworld in order to destroy his compliment of 60ABMs + defences worth many millions of OC&H simply to send him a message (The war ended 24 hours later)

10) Have fun ;) and raid inactives!
