A deploy mission is used to station a ship to a different planet in your empire. Deployed ships can carry resources the same way as ships in a transport mission, but unlike a transport they do not automatically return to their homeworld after they arrive at the new planet. Instead they stay there until ordered to move. If resources are deployed along with the ships, they will be deposited at the destination planet.

A player can only dispatch a deploy mission to their own planets.

To deploy crew or workers, you must use a Charon Class Transport.

Due to the ability to recall a deploy the same amount of hydrogen is needed as a transport mission. (Fuel for the possible trip home) This extra hydrogen is not refunded as it is polluted due to being placed in a fuel tank once. (for further info see fuel contamination [1] )
