Colonize is a special type of mission, like transport or deploy, in which one sends a Gaia Class Colony Ship to an uninhabited location in the Galaxy View. When the ship arrives, if nobody else has already colonized the spot first, it is immediately destroyed and the commander receives a colony. Any resources sent with the colonization mission are deposited on that planet and can be used to build up the new world.
