The Colonial Marines (AL≬ENS) alliance are a space marine organization with members who are dedicated to the aspirations of the Colonial Marines from the Aliens movies, or with similar dedication to the Colonial forces in the tv-series of Battlestar Galactica. We are also dedicated supporters of all Star universes, like Stardrift Empires, StarTrek, Star Wars, Stargate and so on...

Mission

Our main purpose is having fun playing the game, and work together forming a strong alliance.

Prime directive

-We shall do the best we can with what we have!

Organization

Our alliance are highly structured, with a clear line in leadership and command structure.

Leadership

The Commander in Chief (CinC) is the leader of the alliance, and has the final words in all planning and actions taken by the alliance. He also has the power of solving disputes among the alliance members. In the absence of the leader, the appointed XO has these priviledges.

The high command (the admirality) is the high council of the alliance, and is responsible for giving the Leader advise in planning of task and actions for the greater good of all allinace members. The high command also appoint commanding officers and recomend rank promotions and decorations to officers according to achivements.

Chain of command

The chain of command structure is:

  1. Direct order from the Commander in Chief (CinC) or from the XO in the absence of the leader.
  2. Order issued from the high command (the admirality)
  3. Direct order from a commanding officer (CO) as quadrant leaders, galaxy leaders or special-task officers.
  4. Order from a higher ranked officer.

Light Bulb Icon.png Note: A commanding officer can have lower rank than members under his command, this as the rank system is based on achivement and seniority in gameplay.

The High Command (Admirality)

Commander in Chief (CinC)
Hikaru Sulu
Commanding Officer (CO)

First Officer (FO)

Communication officers

To make a solid communication chain inside our alliance, high command has appointed two commanding officers. The communication officers is responsible for setting up and maintain all communication lines among the members.

First communication officer (1COM)
Second communication officer (2COM)

Commanding officers

Since the game has 10 galaxies we divide them in to 2 quadrants, each with 5 galaxies. Each quadrant has a commanding officer (CO) and a first officer (FO), appointed by the high command. In some major galaxies there will also be a galaxy leader appointed.

Quadrant 1 (Galaxies 1 to 5)

CO =

FO =

Quadrant 2 (Galaxies 6 to 10)

CO =

FO =

Membership

All applications for membership is treated by the admiralty (high command).

Policies on inactive members

As a general rule all players marked inactive are open for attack, member or not.

Inactive members don't get kicked out immediately, they get a chance to come back.

If a member has got the big (I) he will be kicked out of the alliance.

All member are advised to delete former members from their buddy list, unless it's a personal friend.

Light Bulb Icon.png Note: If you have a moon with an oracle it's wise to keep inactive buddies, cause you can set up a ninja as a group defense.

Code of conduct

Messages

Content of messages between other players, members of the alliance or not, should be civil! No members has in any situation permission to mention war as a way to solve disputes. War and threats about war should only come from the leaders. Any suggestion on fixing things by force should be discussed internal in the alliance, and not with others.

Espionage (Probing)

Excessive use of probing on players outside the alliance may be concidered harassment as stated in the game rules.

Probing of fellow members, or members of an alliance we have a NAP with, is NOT allowed, unless:

  • the player is inactive
  • the player has requested it
  • you got an order from a commanding officer to do so.

Light Bulb Icon.png Note: BREAKING OF THIS RULES IN ANY WAY, WILL HAVE CONSEQUENCES FOR THE INVOLVED MEMBERS.

The game only allow 10 ranks, so a mixed cut down ranking system is in place. The ranks are divided into 3 sections, with the flag officers as the high command (the admirality). Ranks are given by the high command after recommendations or by gameplay achivements.
