Code of Conduct
Messages
- Content of messages between other players, members of the alliance or not, should be civil!
- No members has permission to mention war as a way to resolve disputes period.
- War and threats about war should only come from the Warchief or Head Officer.
- Any suggestion on fixing things by force should be discussed within the alliance.
Game Etiquette
Being polite to an attacker, is considered proper etiquette by many players.
They are, after all, only playing the game as you are, and were the situation reversed you would be attacking them.
If you are polite to others they will be polite to back. Its called "Good manners".
It is considered polite to message them, to let them know you are home, and will take measures to prevent it from being
profitable. "Hi, I'm home and I see you. Figured I would let you know so you wouldn't waste a trip".
If politeness isn't reason enough, then protecting your defenses should be. Without your fleet, your defenses will not do
much to the attacker. They would not have attacked you to start with, if your defenses were of concern to them.
Of course, if your defenses will blow their fleet out of space, and you can harvest the debris and laugh at them as they
lick their wounds wondering why they lost. Then it is not rude to be silent, other than "Thanks" after the event.
Group Attacks
- Sending only a probe on group attacks is considered "dsp theft" and forbidden unless:
- The attacker requested it to slow down the group attack for final planet esp.
- You have permission from all members of the group attack.
Failure to follow this rule hurts everyone involved and could lead to your dismissal from the alliance.
Espionage (Probing)
- Excessive use of probing on players outside the alliance may be considered harassment as stated in the game rules.
- Probing of fellow members is NOT allowed, unless:
- The player is inactive.
- There is a large debris cloud, NO NPC and the player is unresponsive to messages.
- The player has requested it.
- You received an order from the Warchief or Head Officer to do so.
