STARFLEET (SFC Extreme)
{=★=} STARFLEET {=★=}
STARFLEET is an alliance in the Starfleet Commander Extreme universe. It's tag is: {=★=}.
Motto: "Per Famulus Unus Alius Nos Fio Solvo" (By serving one another we become free.)
The STARFLEET alliance was founded on February 1, 2010 by players Fleet Marshal R.M. Hill and Fleet Admiral Sam Hill (both Non-Commisioned Officers in the United States Marine Corps on active duty) on the principle that all players of the game should be able to belong to an alliance regardless of player rank, the number of planets they control, what technologies they possess or the size of their fleet. The STARFLEET alliance is open to all serious players in the Starfleet Commander Extreme universe.
Role Playing
The members of STARFLEET take the gameplay to a whole new level. Instead of just building ships, settling colonies and attacking planets, we have established an in-game military organization with it's own chain of command and unique rank structure. We have even broken down the game universe into command echelons for better control of our forces. This wiki page will explain how our alliance is organized and how we play the game together in STARFLEET.
Branches
STARFLEET COMMAND- This is the Headquarters element of STARFLEET that oversees the operation of all other branches. It is headed by the Commander-in-Chief of STARFLEET along with the Deputy Commander-in-Chief. It is administered by the STARFLEET Chief of Staff who is the Senior Fleet Admiral. This department constists of the heads of all branches of Starfleet as well as the commanders of the 4 Subverses.
STARFLEET OPERATIONS- This branch of STARFLEET deals with the daily management of the operational forces to include offensive planning, defensive planning, colonization operations and communications networking between members. It is commanded by the Chief of STARFLEET OPERATIONS who is an Admiral.
STARFLEET TACTICAL OPERATIONS COMMAND- This is the special operations branch of STARFLEET commanded by the Chief of STARFLEET TACTICAL OPERATIONS COMMAND who is a Field Marshal. This branch works hand in hand with STARFLEET OPERATIONS but is a self-sustained branch of its own. S.T.O.C. is the elite military force of STARFLEET that deals with the actual carrying out of large scale combat operations. This is a highly specialized area of STARFLEET that has its own seperate rank structure and command organization structure. Admission into this branch is selective and not open to just any member. Due to the nature of this branch's mission, moving up the ranks is slightly more challenging due to their stricter promotion guidelines.
STARFLEET ADMINISTRATION- This branch of STARFLEET deals with the handling of administrative records including personnel info, planetary registration and promotions within the regular fleet. It is commanded the Chief of STARFLEET ADMINISTRATION who is an Admiral.
STARFLEET INTELLIGENCE- This branch of STARFLEET deals with the aquisition of vital information about rival alliances and distributing inaccurate information about our alliance to other alliances posing possible threats to us and our members. It is commanded by the Chief of STARFLEET INTELLIGENCE who is an Admiral.
STARFLEET SECURITY- This branch of STARFLEET deals with the internal security of STARFLEET. This includes searching out possible spies within the alliance, protecting sensitive information from leaking out, censoring newly accepted members coming from other alliances, and authorizing security clearances for members. It is commanded by the Chief of STARFLEET SECURITY who is an Admiral.
STARFLEET MATERIALS COMMAND- This branch of STARFLEET deals with the management of inner-alliance trade relationships and the aquistion of resources in order to sustain the operations of the alliance. It is commanded by the Chief of STARFLEET MATERIALS COMMAND who is an Admiral.
STARFLEET RECRUITING COMMAND- This branch of STARFLEET deals with the recruitment of new players, established players with no other allegiances and disgruntled members of other alliances who are looking for a new alliance to transfer to. This branch also deals with negotiating mergers of other small, unstable alliances into STARFLEET. It is commanded by the Chief of STARFLEET RECRUITING COMMAND who is an Admiral.
STARFLEET DIPLOMATIC CORPS- This branch of STARFLEET deals with diplomatic relations between STARFLEET and other alliances by means of Non-Aggression Pacts and promotes peaceful conflict resolution. This branch also deals with negotiating mergers of larger, more stable alliances or breakaway sects of mega-alliances into STARFLEET. It is commanded by the Chief of STARFLEET DIPLOMATIC CORPS who is an Admiral.
STARFLEET JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERLAL CORPS- This branch of STARFLEET deals with the administering of STARFLEET Law. It deals with courts-martial and other non-judicial disciplinary action for members violating standing orders, directives and regulations, disobeying orders from and/or insubordinance to superior officers and committing treasonous acts against the alliance and/or it's members. The J.A.G. Corps is commanded by the STARFLEET Judge Advocate General who is an Admiral.
STARFLEET ACADEMY- This institution is for new comers to the game who join STARFLEET and still need some additional "training" in the finer points of the game play. Members attending STARFLEET ACADEMY will hold the rank of Ensign regardless of minimum promotion requirements being met until they have a strong enough grasp on the game to join the operating forces. The academy is commanded by the Commandant of STARFLEET ACADEMY who is an Admiral.

Rank Structure
STARFLEET utilizes its own interior rank structure for gameplay within the alliance. This section deals with the rank structures and the minimum requirements for attaining these ranks in the alliance. One of the base fundamentals of STARFLEET is the equal opportunity for advancement by all players. This is the reason for the rigid promotion guidelines. Every member has the chance to advance based on his or her own merits. Discrimination and favortism are strictly forbidden in STARFLEET. This is system is the most fair way to ensure everyone has the same opportunity to move up the ranks, however promotions are subject to billet vacancies which means the higher up a player goes in the ranks, the more challenging and competitive it gets for promotions and command assignments.
The rank structure is listed from highest to lowest.
RANK | ABBREV | INSIGNIA | STATUS | # OF PLANETS | MIN. PLAYER RANK | MIN. SHIP CAPABILITY |

FLEET MARSHAL | FMRSH | <<+>> | LEADER | 9 | N/A | N/A |

Organizational Command Structure
STARFLEET is broken down into several command echelons which allow us to be better able to control our forces through out the universe.
UNIVERSE- The STARFLEET alliance spans the entire Starfleet Commander Extreme Universe. The Commander-in-Chief of STARFLEET, the Fleet Marshal, commands all STARFLEET forces through out the entire universe.
UNIVERSAL SUBSECTION or "SUBVERSE"- The Universe is broken down into 4 seperate Subverses. Each Subverse consists of 5 galaxies and is commanded by a Fleet Admiral known as the Subverse Force Commander (SubForCom). The Fleet Admirals report directly to the Fleet Marshal.
Subverse I covers galaxies 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The commander of Subverse I is designated SubForCom-I.
Subverse II covers galaxies 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. The commander of Subverse II is designated SubForCom-II.
Subverse III covers galaxies 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15. The commander of Subverse III is designated SubForCom-III.
Subverse IV covers galaxies 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20. The commander of Subverse IV is designated SubForCom-IV.
GALAXY- There are 20 galaxies in the Starfleet Commander Extreme universe. STARFLEET forces in each of these 20 galaxies are commanded by an Admiral known as the Galactic Force Commander (GalForCom). The designation of the commander of a specific galaxy would be GalForCom-#(i.e. The 12th Galactic Force Commander's designation would be GalForCom-12).
QUADRANT- Each galaxy is broken down into 4 seperate quadrants. These quadrants are designated Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta Quadrants. STARFLEET Forces in each quadrant are commanded by a Vice Admiral known as the Quadrant Force Commander (QuadForCom). The designation of the commander of a specific quadrant of a specific galaxy would be QuadForCom-#X (i.e. The Force Commander of the Alpha Quadrant in the 17th Galaxy would be QuadForCom-17A.)
Quadrants consist of 5 sectors for a total of 20 sectors per galaxy. This is how the sectors are organized within the quadrants of a galaxy:
Alpha Quadrant covers sectors 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Beta Quadrant covers sectors 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
Gamma Quadrant covers sectors 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.
Delta Quadrant covers sectors 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20.
SECTOR- Sectors are made up of 24 or 25 systems. There are 5 sectors in a quadrant for a total of 20 sectors per galaxy. STARFLEET forces in each sector are commanded by a Rear Admiral known as the Sector Force Commander (SectForCom). The designation of the commander of a specific sector would be SectForCom-#X# (i.e. The Force Commander of the 14th Sector, Gamma Quadrant, 8th Galaxy would be SectForCom-8A14).
There are 499 total systems in every galaxy. Quadrants Alpha, Beta and Gamma consists of 125 systems. Delta Quadrants consist of 124 systems. This means that all sectors designated Sectors 1 through 19 have 25 systems each. All sectors designated Sector 20 only have 24 systems. This is how systems are organized within the sectors of a quadrant of a galaxy:
