Hire a scientist. Where they improve your research time by 25%. These are purchased for a period of time. Question... If I have a: Lab Droid. (2%) Basic worker/Human worker. (4%) Then I purchase a scientist.

Does my build time reduce to 31% for the period I have a Scientist for?

Workers affect your research time by reducing the effective materials of a technology for the purpose of the time calculation:

[(ore cost + crystal cost)*(1-(total % bonus)/100)]

[1000*(1+ Total Lab Level)]

Where total lab level is the sum of the levels of the research labs that apply to this research based on your ARCNet level.

So, in your example, your research normally takes 94% of the base time, but with the scientist, it would take 69% of the base time.
