Alien experiment territory 1.png

Alien Experiment is a Starfleet Hired Guns territory. The Alien Experiment Territory allows a player to research the new alien technologies and ARCNet.

The alien technologies are: Krug Armor, Krug Weapon, Krug Shield, Krug Quantum Drive, Urcath Armor, Urcath Weapon, Urcath Shield, Urcath Anti-Matter Drive, Seekers Armor, Seekers Weapon, Seekers Shield, and Seekers Dark Energy Drive.

Alien technologies, like all technologies, are permanent and global. That is, once researched, they immediately take effect everywhere, and cannot be destroyed. In particular, it is not necessary to hold the Alien Experiment territory to build alien ships in the Alien Space Dock.

Likewise, it is not necessary to hold Alien Experiment territory in order for ARCNet to sum lab levels. However, if the Research Lab on the territory is one of the highest the player has built, it will be included (as an ordinary lab) by ARCNet when starting new research on a planet, if and only if the territory is held. Once the research is started, the completion time is fixed and the territory can be abandoned if desired. Conversely, ARCNet will also add planetary labs to AE labs as appropriate. Consequently, the AE extends the highest theoretically useful ARCNet level from 8 to 17.

It may be noted that although the Production Link building is available on Alien Experiment, building it has no particular benefit.
