I seem to have inherited a moon from a battle, but cannot select it for building.  I can select it as a target for transport.  I assume (while I build another Gaia) that I need to colonize the moon before building?  The Gaia info in the game doesn't mention use on moons.

Is the Lunar Base limited to level 5 or can you add Lunar bases indefinately?

- Not limited to level 5. I have a level 4 and by clicking on the name of it in the "Buildings" page it gives me the costs for level 5 and 6. I added the level 6 costs to the page. If there is a limit, it's higher.

* Noticed the change to field numbers today. Was it changed in Extreme and possibly the subject of tomorrow's Original downtime? Because the old numbers are in agreement with what I'm seeing in-game and the new numbers are not. Silver Gate Squadron 15:52, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

  • That was me... I'm convinced that each Lunar Base level adds 4 fields for a net of +3. I remember hearing that for the longest time. I could be wrong though and feel free to correct me if I am. Jesus Saves 13:33, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

* Have corrected it. Your numbers are wrong. I have two moons myself and can easily check in game. The moon starts with "0 of 1" fields used; after you build the Lunar Base level 1 it reads "1 of 4"... etcetera... my moons both currently have 19 fields with Lunar Base level 6. Silver Gate Squadron 16:45, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

  • This would imply that the table and the rest of the article is incorrect when it mentions how many fields are added per level, wouldn't it? Jesus Saves 21:50, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

* Okay... am a little lost. What do you think it says? I thought I fixed it several hours ago. What actually happens is this: the Moon starts with 1 field. Each Lunar Base you build adds 3 to the total, but occupies one. Silver Gate Squadron 03:47, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

  • I was incorrectly interpreting what the table meant by fields and total fields. I thought those were what the Lunar Base added, not the amount of fields actually present on the moon per level. Just now I noticed how the moon starts with 1 field. Lunar Base 1 would add 3 fields but occupy that first one, so there's 3 fields left... but oddly enough the paragraph above the table says it adds 3 fields but occupies one, with a net of +2. Hmm... Jesus Saves 13:20, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

* Net GAIN of +2. Obviously, there had to be one available just before you BUILT the Lunar Base level, so your available fields would increase from 1 to 3. I'll tinker with the chart a bit if I can figure out how to add a column, maybe that will make it clearer. Silver Gate Squadron 14:15, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Where is the best place to put this suggestion? The lunar base cost should be more reasonable and increase the number of fields created - the cost is ridiculous. If one puts twice the amount of resources into building something then twice the amount of that something should be built. Now I can understand not doubling the fields increased for each level - it'd grow to quickly but maybe increasing the # of fields given by one each level would work. example:

level 1 gives 4 fields - total: 4 (you can build 2 other things before you need another level of lunar base)

level 2 gives 5 fields - total: 9 (you can build 6 other things total before you need another level of lunar base)

level 3 gives 6 fields - total: 15 (you can build 11 other things total before you need another level of lunar base)

level 4 gives 7 fields - total: 22 (you can build 17 other things total before you need another level of lunar base)

level 5 gives 8 fields - total: 30 (you can build 24 other things total before you need another level of lunar base)

level 6 gives 9 fields - total: 39 (you can build 32 other things total before you need another level of lunar base)

and so on

They need a better formula for the moon fields. One that actually makes it a little more realistic.
