:You have to build each colony just like you built your homeworld. If you want your colony to be able to build ships, then build a shipyard there. What should I do if there are no empty planets left in my solar system that are ready for colonization? There seems to be people in my solar system who aren't playing very much. I've borrowed their undefended resources, but they are taking up a useful planets. Can their planets be taken over?

how do you rename a colony?

From the Galaxy screen, click the "(rename)" link. --Rob 16:33, 6 November 2009 (UTC)

I just started my first colony. There is no ship yard, so I can't build ships, can't do missions, etc. How do I set this up? Thanks!
