As far as my choice of subjective personal pronoun, its called an "editorial we", although you do have a point. The editorial we is used when a writer or editor speaks in the plural to imply that he speaks for a group or an institution (such as a website or a newspaper). I had assumed there were others of my cant, but I have not seen them. I had rather hoped that such others would follow my path, deny John Donne, and declare themselves self-sufficient by joining my self-reliant alliance. - Tighthead
