There should be a time limit put onto (d) mode as you get players expanding into your system and gaining a foothold and you can't do anything about it. then they come out with a massive fleet. They do however have a disadvantage losing a minimum of 25% of resources initially.
Diplomacy Mode
There could have been several levels of Diplomacy. Each level could provide more protection and cost more. An idea of the levels follows:
- (s) Self-Diplomatic Before an attack, diplomatic proceedings must fail. No cost.
- (d) Diplomatic 1 Game Government checks planet(s). Low cost.
- (D) Diplomatic 2 Game Government constantly patrols planet(s). Medium cost
- (g) Diplomatic 3 Game government diploys small fleet to planet(s). High cost.
- (G) Diplomatic 4 Game government stations on planet(s). Very high cost.
There has to be punishments also given if caught attacking a low level diplomatic planet(s) caught by the Game Government patrols.
This may be good for some and not for others, however, really bad for the programmers who have to find a way to add such to all the servers that the game is running on. I would think the programmers will, more than likely, leave things as they are...which is fine.
Missions.
Can anyone confirm if the "tax" also applies to missions?
Having been running missions while waiting for D mode to end I am Defiantly getting taxed on the missions.
