Thanks for looking into my problem. I would very much like to have it protected against vandalism. :) -Nova

Please Remove Me

Hey, it's Jesus_Saves. As you can tell I've been terribly inactive. Please remove me from the list of admins, Wiki Editors Council, and whatnot. I'm afraid I won't be of anymore use around here and we don't need requests for help going to someone like me who doesn't come around. Nice work keeping the wiki clean. Jesus Saves 00:39, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

FYI

Matt the new admin is a BFG employee. --Phil Sutherland 03:19, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Cool, but message still applies :-) --Gary Mintz 03:22, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Hello Gary.

Has leader of the United Jedi Federation in Extreme 2 I was just wondering why our Wiki page in the Alliance listings was removed yesterday on the 2nd July 2011 at 19:41. I saw somert on the deletion page about the Alliance had been disbanded when that is not true. We exist in Extreme 2 & have never disbanded. So has to why we were deleted from the Alliance Listings I do not know & would be greatful if you could look into this for me.

Hey Gary. I have a question. Is there some sort of list or policy/ guidelines I can go by to let me know what needs to be done. --KrypticHawk 18:27, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi Guys, Good idea locking the wiki alliance pages; we did have a vandalism incident too, i just corrected it. Can you add BlackMOONlight - IRS to the authorised list for IRS, thanks a lot, hope i did this right. Perbrill

16/9/10 As leader of SWaRM, I respectfully ask that our page be removed completely for both Uni 1 and 2, we have no wish to have such a page that is constantly being edited against commands wishes. Warlord

Hi. Stephen AceLucky Yannotti wiki user name Jamesa without permission edit page of my alliance http://wiki.playstarfleet.com/index.php/Alliance_Of_Free_Stars_(FreeStar) . I had problems with him before, and I had to change the name of my alliance, because he is constantly changing page of our alliances in the wiki, but he is not our member.Nino990

Nino990, you are not allowed to give my location to my Homeworld. Jamesa 21:02, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

The old alliance list page shows that for "D" alliances - none are in Universe 1, with "Dune (Sons of) - Dune" listed as one of these. This is not totally correct as this alliance is actually in Universe 1, however it is actually Alliance Name = Sons Of Dune; Alliance Tag = Dune. So as you can see they decided to show this with "sons of" in parentheses on this wiki, but that is not the case in-game. I am not a member so I will not move their wiki page to the new alliance list, our alliance just has an NAP with this alliance. Thank you Hawk1267

Random Accounts

  • Looks like someone was a bit bored today. Hopefully in a few days when Matt updates the wiki we should be able to do IP scans.

We are not really supposed to block people just because we think they are Multi-Accounting, but it seemed pretty obvious. I like to use that block template, it makes everything seem more professional. --Phil Sutherland 17:53, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

  • Yeah I'm in V mode in both SFC and SFC-Ex because of Real life commitments just keep checking between document scans I'm doing. Yes I saw the template you used and copied it to notepad for fast access. --Gary Mintz 17:57, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
  • Mark my word this place will get really busy in September. Everyone will be back from vacation and will be looking for games to pass the time while the pretend to do there jobs. --Phil Sutherland 17:59, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Labeling the pages

  • Im guessing your just pressing the random page button? And then adding the tags to the alliance pages. I was doing that a few days ago and do it when I have nothing else to do, but im busy writing templates. I need you to leave a random not on my talk page in a few minutes, il tell you when I just need to get the new message message up. --Phil Sutherland 18:15, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Moving to a New Wiki, Need Help

Phil and Matt have decided to respond to the upsurge of vandalism by moving the stuff to a new wiki. We need your help uploading pics to the new site. For more info, check Starfleet_Commander_talk:Wiki_Editors_Council

MBTI Personality Type

If you haven't heard about this already, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a sort of personality test that is pretty accurate and descriptive. I'm curious to see what personality types we admins have. If you'd care to do so, you can take the test on this page. When you hit Score It, a new page opens with a four-letter combination such as ISTJ or ENFP. Please let me know what it is, and if you want you can Google it to see what it means. Thanks!

For example, my personality type is ISTJ, which makes me: quiet, practical, logical, organized, impartial, et. al. Jesus Saves 01:04, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

My Type is ISFJ
ISFJs are characterized above all by their desire to serve others, their "need to be needed." In extreme cases, this need is so strong that standard give-and-take relationships are deeply unsatisfying to them; however, most ISFJs find more than enough with which to occupy themselves within the framework of a normal life. (Since ISFJs, like all SJs, are very much bound by the prevailing social conventions, their form of "service" is likely to exclude any elements of moral or political controversy; they specialize in the local, the personal, and the practical.) --Gary Mintz 02:07, 24 October 2010 (UTC)

Traffic Jam

Lol this is the most people I have ever seen visiting the wiki ever.--Phil Sutherland 21:16, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

LOL, Agreed I have never seen this much Traffic. --Gary Mintz 21:20, 9 December 2010 (UTC) Just keep a close eye on things. Every so often there is the guy who does not understand the very simple number sequence and has to be corrected --Phil Sutherland 21:24, 9 December 2010 (UTC) OK Will do in fact I corrected one when I signed it myself --Gary Mintz 21:33, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

  • Lol I had to lock it for a minute so I could actually fix some stuff. Lol. I cut and pasted all of the sand box names. --Phil Sutherland 01:14, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Moving time

  • Ok does everything seem clear to you? lets start with the Popular well known alliance first. As you move them remove them from the list. --Phil Sutherland 20:31, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
  • Clear this up for me "Alliance name"("Tag"). means for example. Also not clear on how to move the page as I see you are doing.
  • Rigellian Compact (RgC) --Gary Mintz 20:35, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
  • Onthe top right next to the delete protect things you will see a move tab. I want the actual page name to be Alliance name plus tag. But when listed it should only be listed as the tag. Get that? --Phil Sutherland 20:56, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
  • I'll try the RgC I listed and see if I get it right. --Gary Mintz 20:59, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
  • I think I screwed it up it should look the same I'm going to undo the move and redo it. --Gary Mintz 21:11, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
  • Appears I did it correctly and I understand the edit you performed on the alliance list. --Gary Mintz 21:24, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
  • ok good, I have to go out but tomorrow I will send an email to BFG asking them to post an ingame message about this. --Phil Sutherland 21:27, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Vandalism

I talked to BFG about installing some sort of CAPTCHA to take care of the spam bots. It should make our work load much lighter. --Phil Sutherland 20:34, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Great Idea!! It is getting out of control some are kinda obvious but others we have to wait till the damage is already done. It's getting to the point I don't want to login and see what damage they have done. --Gary Mintz 20:52, 7 February 2011 (UTC)

Ya there are some no functions like Batch delete. And a few CAPTACHs to get rid of the majority of the bots.

Ya im going to get the admin to add a better CAPTCHA. Like the in-game one. --Phil Sutherland 16:42, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Bureaucrat

I gave you some extra power... Since you edit here more than I do. Just don't make anyone else a Bureaucrat without talking to me or BFG...--Phil Sutherland 19:36, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
