So... no real use for more than four levels of this, huh? --Apparently not... would like to know for sure. I am guessing it is just faster at making them, hopefully we can get official word on it soon.

In my experience, higher levels of factory are faster at making the droids. It looks like the factory level for droids is treated similarly to the capitol level for buildings:
Droid build time in hours = (ore + crystal cost)/(2500*(1+factory level))

It would be nice if placing droids in here boosted the production level of droids by a .1 or a .05 of a percentage as it would give reason to level up and as well as place a droid or human in the slot. It says droids are produced and managed here so this would then satisfy the "managed" part of the description. Using a human worker would then give a larger boost to mining droid and lab droid production efficiencies by an extra .1 or .15 of a percent. That could mean an extra 1-4 percent total increase in production. It doesn't have to be much of an increase, but with each added droid then it duplicates nicely over the other droids servicing mines and labs. Just a thought. Ryan.
