Our Alliance Basics
The STAR ALLIANCE is for experienced players who have progressed in the game and can appreciate the finer points of it as well as for those who are just starting out and need to find a footing in the cold, dark expanse of space. If you are experienced in the game and are looking for an Alliance where you are appreciated, encouraged and like to have have attack support and defensive cover we are the Alliance you want to hook up with. Whether you are new to the game or an old hand, we have a place for you in our "family".
Our Alliance of 60 strong has been in the top #10 Alliance Rankings for over two years now. Over 96% of our members are ranked #3,000 or better. Almost 40% of our members are ranked inside the top #1,000. Eleven of our members are ranked under #300.
We use these two support programs with regularity to insure we do well on raids and in other military actions:
1) BattleCalc: A Starfleet Commander program that simulates what would happen given a particular attacking forces arrival at a defenders colony or lunar base. The program is totally customizable and it has "Saved Our Bacon" many, many times.
2) SFCStats: This program lets us input galaxy data into a usable format so we can find any member of Starfleet Commander Extremes location colony-wise. We are at this point updating our database every week or so. This program will let you search the universe for (I) and (i) members, you can search by member ranking, you can even search for members by game name and there are even MORE ways to look for information in our secure database!
What You Get as a Member
When you join The Star Alliance, you get these benefits and more:
- Boot Camp (8 Rules to Live By) ~~ Hints for using Resources, Fleets, Tactics and Defenses).
- Support, knowledge and insight for the game from more experienced players.
- Regular Contests and Awards (resources, MOON shots, etc.) for winners to keep you active in the game and keep things fun!
- Opportunity for even more involvement in the game by becoming a Commissioned Officer with the Alliance (General [Alliance Dept. C.O.],Galaxy Colonel or Assistant[Major], Planetary System Officer [Captain]).
- Group Attack and mission planning.
- Group Defense and retaliatory strikes against aggressors and hostile Alliances.
- We now have "Galaxy Statistics" which will be updated on a regular basis via SfcStats. If there is someone bothering you and they have other colony's outside of the galaxy(s) you live in, you can contact other Star members, NAP partners or Buddy's to deal with these people.
These statistics can be searched according to name, alliance, rank and activity in the game. Also, you will no longer need to scroll through many galaxy maps expending precious hydrogen looking for inactive players to farm from.
- Use our secure Alliance chat room for Group Attacks and Group Defending..... we also have a good time telling jokes and swapping story's about recent conquests, battles and things that went terribly wrong....... Hehehehe..
Organizational Structure
The leaders of the Star Alliance are Sky Marshall's SGT. Jackson, and The One They Call Chuck (XO).
Star Alliance's command staff consists of two departments and their respective support staffs:
The Military Branch

The Military Branch is also organized into 3 Galactic Sector Leaders (Commissioned Rank of Colonel), their Assistants (Commissioned Rank of Major) and Galaxy Supervisors (Commissioned Rank of Captain).

Alliance Enlisted Ranks
Everyone who joins Star Alliance has an enlisted military rank associated to how they have progressed in the game according to the amount of points they garner and the resulting enlisted rank in the Alliance that results:
Master Sergeant (MSG) RANK # 1 - 750 (Rank in the Game)
Sergeant First Class (SFC) RANK # 751 - 1500 (Rank in the Game)
Staff Sergeant (SSG) RANK # 1501 - 2500 (Rank in the Game)
Sergeant (SGT) RANK # 2501 - 3500 (Rank in the Game)
Corporal (Corp) RANK # 3501 - 6000 (Rank in the Game)
Private (PVT) RANK # 6001 - 10000 (Rank in the Game)
Recruit (R) All new members & RANK # 10001 - (Rank in the Game)
If you want a higher rank than what you see in the enlisted rank structure here or you want more to do in the Alliance and in the game, apply for an Officer position. Not everyone can be an Officer.
There is an application procedure and an interview process to secure an Officer position. Ask any Alliance Dept. C.O. or Assistant for an open Officer's position to get the ball rolling after you have been an Alliance member for a while and have demonstrated loyalty to the Alliance.
