The Delta Quadrant Alliance is one of the more fascinating alliances in the game famous for their Time Waster conflict.

DQA was founded by Death Dealer, though going through a different name. DQA had made a critical mistake at the end of 2009 and accepted more people that it could effectively manage. During the Holiday season of 2009 many alliances in the game were suffering form this problem.

The issue that the rapid expansion created for DQA is that DQA dominated over 200 systems in G19 alone. They had no competitors. They had NAPs with all their neighbors and enjoyed a time of great growth. However they failed to take into the account that NAPs were nonbinding and they did not have one with everyone.

DQA had a strong non aggression policy. They were order not to probe back or engage hostile alliances. They had hoped this would deter attacks and allow their members the fun and excitement of running missions and building mines.

These were known as the [green fields of G19]

In December of 2009 VTC of Time Wasters joined his co-worker in g19. At the time VTC only occupied G3 and G4. He left G4 and took a small fleet to G19.

It was in G19 when these two paths crossed DQA would forever be changed.

VTC found there to be a lot of players that did not fleet save and had very light if any defenses.

After finding great success in G19 VTC's alliancemate EGP going in G19. DQA's fleets fell each night as the two systematically wipped the area clean.

DQA was in great parall.

Death Dealer created the Rangers 1 and elite wing of DQA.

Korak the Evil became leader until his paths crossed with VTC one night. The Kroless incident of G19 led to a propaganda campaign levied against Kroless and DQA.

Kroless renounced his leadership and joined R1 leaving GatorBill in charge.

GatorBill offered an olive branch to Overlord of Time Wasters in hopes of peace. Overlord referred GatorBill to VTC since he was in charge of the area.

GatorBill sought resolution to the tensions of G19. VTC was bringing more and more Time Wasters in the area. DQA still had strong members on their team. They wanted peace but were prepare for war.

War is what they got.

VTC showed no signs of letting up on his pursuit of all members of DQA.

GatorBill knowing he could not defeat VTC on the battle field played one of the sneakiest and clever plays. After constantly being attacked and nuked by VTC he started talking to him. As the two talked they became fast friends. While still at war on the battle field the two became real life friends.

This did not stop VTC thought his focus began to shift to the Omega Directive.

Thought the relentless pressure was relieved too much damage to continue.

GatorBill looked to be a protectorate of Time Wasters. Unfortunately that never panned out.

Faced with retirement and concern for his member GatorBill arranged a surrender to VTC in exchange for in person recruiting of his alliance.

VTC then left Time Wasters to join DQA. He was promoted to officer the moment he was accepted and within 24 hours was made leader of the alliance he hunted with such vengeance.

VTC and EGP brought along Minutemen Officers to help recruit members from the team.

Over the course of 4 days DQA was fully dismantled. with three members remaining, GatorBill. EGP left first to create an alliance VTC and EGP. VTC then declared war on the newly form alliance.

VTC then set GatorBill as leader and left the alliance to join EGP. EGP then instated VTC as leader and a part to watch the removal of DQA from the game commenced. After an hour GatorBill disbanded the alliance issuing the final surrender to VTC and EGP.

DQA was later reconstituted in the tradition of Halloween 3 and Friday the 13th 5. They were never and will never be officially recognized as DQA.

A strong alliance that had some bad luck. GatorBill had the humility to recognize that a name or an alliance is not as important as the friends you play with. He did right by them and some still serve as Time Waster officers.
