THE ACCORD MISSION STATEMENT ||| Last Updated: December 28th, 2009

We, the members of The Accord (TACC), exist as an alliance between friends and acquaintances in the middle of the vast, dark, and war plagued universe that is Starfleet. We strive to bring comfort to those within our family and allow the young to grow and the meek to have no fear. We do not, however, achieve this by being little patsies strolling about with our atlas classes waiting to be sacked and plundered. We must have our strength. We will offer peace with those who threaten us, give them a fair chance, because we know what it is to have to grow in this game. However, should they show disrespect or continue any malicious activity in threatening any member of our alliance, WE SHALL SMITE THEM!!!!!!

As members of TACC, we all have our duties. When you first start out, build, mine, grow, research, colonize, and work your way up in the rankings. Do not hesitate to ask those of us that have been around longer for advice, we've all had to start somewhere. As you grow, you will be asked to help when things go down. We will group defend anyone that needs it if we can. We will group attack anyone that needs to be smitten. We share resources down if someone is run over and we can’t reach them in time. We will be called to colonize in different sections of the universe so that we have as few outliers as possible.

You have a duty to build your fleets. While we do put an effort to diplomacy, we must have something to back our words or we will be run over. You have a duty to check the message boards and keep the information up to date. You have a duty to defend if you are asked by the leaders, and a commitment to your allies near-by.

Soon, there will come a time when we feel we have arrived at a point to begin challenging the big boys. There will be war... we will be challenged... some may die... but we must be prepared... we must fight back... we must triumph...

Friends, WE ARE THE ACCORD!

A BRIEF HISTORY

Dec. 2009 - Present Established in early December of 2009, The Accord (TACC) was merger of two separate alliances that consisted of a core of mutual friends from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. The founding members include Leader John Hazelwood along with officers Khale, General Jack O'Neill, Ryan Owens, Pete Stepan, and George Flint. Through healthy competition between themselves, the initial members raced up the rankings. As time went on, more members joined while other faded away... all the while the alliance rose in the rankings. As TACC grew by it's own numbers, it also grew in it's relations with other key alliances. TACC now holds Non-Aggressive Pacts (NAPs) with 14 other alliances with over 1300 players. TACC has grown as a group over time and has learned together through experience. TACC has had a major reconstruction of their system of government and is always tweeking and working to find the best way to manage it's daily procedures. TACC is battle hardened, and ready to take it's place of relevance in the Starfleet universe. TACC holds it's commitments strong, it's honor high, and does whatever they can to help their allies when they are in need.

HOW WE OPERATE

The leader of The Accord (TACC), John Hazelwood, biggest responsibility will be with diplomatic issues involving the larger opponents and alliances. He make final decisions on large scale attacks and handle the negotiations with other alliances. He also serve as the main point of contact between the alliances of which we have NAPs. I have also organized this alliance and set up the structure of responsibilities that we run on day to day.

Second in Command and the large scale battle leader is Khale. He will orchestrate any major battles that come about and will be the main point of contact for the Sector Officers (S.O.) on all matters dealing with serious battle concerns of which they need advice or have lost control over.

S.O.s will have the responsibility of obtaining valuable information, including fleet status and group goals, from the members of their sectors and report it back to the Capitol.

The S.O. will also be in charge of dealing with malicious activity within their sector. If any member of the sector gets probed, attacked, or is taunted via messages, they need to report this to their S.O. immediately. Upon receipt of this report, the S.O. is to investigate the matter and act according to their judgment of the situation.

THE BREAKDOWN

As of 12/27/2009 we have broken our alliance down into sectors in an effort to make things run smoother. On the message boards, you will note that there are threads for each of these sectors. These threads explain themselves in who your Sector Officer (S.O.) is and what you need to post on the thread on a regular basis to keep the S.O. informed. It is IMPERATIVE that you do this!! We will have to know exactly what is at our disposal. This is also the only way we can know what is going on with your sector of planets.

I would like you to "register" your general information with the sector of your strongest base. I originally assumed that most people's strongest base was their homeword but I realized that some of you had basically relocated in our earlier stages. So, if you're split between sectors, register where your strongest planet is.

However, if for example, you register in sector B but have a colony attacked in sector C... Report that attack in the sector it's located, in this case it would be reported in sector C, not B so that the closest members to your colony can be notified for the quickest response time.

Sector A is known as our “Capitol Sector” as it is home to the majority of the founding members of TACC (though not all) and is the oldest stronghold of the alliance. The high ranking members of this sector will essentially all be members of my cabinet in assisting me on our decisions of a universal scale. Khale and I will act as the S.O.'s for Sector A.

The Sector Officers for each other sector are as follows:

Sector B : Joanne Osborne

Sector C : Brian Mann

Sector D : Zac antosh

Sector E : Dotiore

Sector F : TheFujio

LOOKING FORWARD

As it continues to grow and progress, TACC is always looking for new members, though not everyone that applies is accepted. If you are committed to putting in your time and feel like you want to be a part of something that has your back no matter what and will help stick up for you. Think about applying for membership with TACC.

If you are in an alliance already and can respect and uphold the honor we put on all our allies, we are looking to engage in talks over NAPs. It is our goal to have ambassadors to all larger alliances to maintain communication and to keep up with ambassadors of smaller alliances. We hope for more than a simple agreement to not attack each other. We are proud of our history and how far we've come. We've been pressured to join larger alliances but in the end decided to keep our heritage and hope to build "alliance like" relationships through NAPs. If you're interested in this further, please contact TACC Leader Hazelwood.
