==Urgent News All Admins Must Read==

* Do to the recent amount of Bot vandalism Matt and I have decided its best to move the entire wiki to another source.

Now this sounds like a big job but really it isn't. Most of the work is just copying and pasting. But we need some help. What I need you guys to do is upload every single picture except alliance pic's and other un-used pictures. Now they will have to be uploaded to the same name. When you sign up I also ask you use the same name as before for reasons you will find out. Now to get the Wiki location you will need to PM me on the message board to avoid unwanted guests at this point in time. Again I would really appreciate the help. And please use this page to talk to each other about uploading pictures to divide up the work. --[[User:Phil Sutherland|Phil Sutherland]] 22:59, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

==Bololoikak2==

Anyone have a clue what this person is creating pages for? The links on them all go to .ru pages, and I don't feel comfortable about checking those links myself. [[User:Jesus Saves|Jesus Saves]] 20:37, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Strike that, I got the guts to check. They're all spam links to random sites. I suggest deletion of the pages, as well as possibly blocking the user. [[User:Jesus Saves|Jesus Saves]] 20:40, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

==One Page Per Alliance Rule?==

Has one of those been decided? I've heard it said on here a few times but have not seen it written anywhere as an official rule. I bring this up because there is an alliance with two pages... [[Farmer]] and [[Farmers]]. [[User:Jesus Saves|Jesus Saves]] 16:09, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

* Ya its logical so why not make it a rule. Can someone add it to our list of rules and guidelines. --[[User:Phil Sutherland|Phil Sutherland]] 21:37, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Actually, a few other questions show up:

*What about alliances that exist in more than one universe? Suppose A New Hope exists in SFCO and SFCX. Does each A New Hope get its own alliance page?

*What about redirect pages? Should an alliance be permitted one or two pages with the <nowiki>#REDIRECT</nowiki> command? What should be the regulations on that.

*Finally, should we establish a standard style of naming alliance pages? like A_New_Hope, ANH, anewhope, etc.?

I have placed the start of the rule on [[Starfleet Commander:Policy]] but it's ambiguous.  [[User:Jesus Saves|Jesus Saves]] 15:01, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

*One page per universe. I think we should make 4 different lists, one for each uni. There should also be some kind of naming code.

Example. "Name" ("Tag"), so Unimatrix0 (Unimat). --[[User:Phil Sutherland|Phil Sutherland]] 18:53, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

*Looks good. [[User:Jesus Saves|Jesus Saves]] 23:49, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

*I also noticed a couple redirects were on here, like [[KKND]]. What is the policy with making redirect pages? [[User:Jesus Saves|Jesus Saves]] 13:55, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

* The redirects happen when the pages are moved after they are updated to the correct format. "Name" ("Tag"). I'm pretty sure Phil or another will delete them after every thing is moved and updated to the correct format. I'm updating the Old Alliance list after I search Universe 1 for the alliances listed. I only have a Universe 1 account so someone with Universe 2 and Extreme 1 & 2 accounts will need to check those. --[[User:Gary Mintz|Gary Mintz]] 20:16, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

== Spam Bots ==

Now the spam bots are creating accounts to spam us with. Any ideas of how to stop them? I also think we should go on a recruiting campaign and get another admin. --[[User:Phil Sutherland|Phil Sutherland]] 15:29, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

:I'm an experienced user of the MediaWiki software package and a long time [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:James_Arthur_Reed editor of Wikipedia]. I've been out of SFC for some time (recently turtling and raiding inactives) but if you'd like some assistance in this cleanup, I'd be happy to lend a hand.
