Overall Points is the main method used to "keep score" in Starfleet Commander.  It simply totals the amount of resources spent for all construction, and divides this amount by 1,000.  If you lose ships or defenses as a result of combat, you will lose a corresponding amount of Overall Points.  You can see your Overall Points on the [[Home]] page or in the upper right corner of any page.  You can also check how you compare to other players on the [[Leaders]] page.
