Combat is what happens when one enemy fleet encounters another as the result of an attack. The attacker's ships immediately fight against the enemy's ships and defenses, if he has any. At the end of combat if all of the defender's ships and defenses have been destroyed, the attacker will have won the battle and will plunder the defender.
