Mining facility.png

Mines are your basic resource production units in Starfleet Commander. You start off by building them, and then they pay you a certain amount of resources per hour. You can get more resources by leveling them up, or by assigning workers to them.

Ore Mine

The Ore Mine is the first mining facility that most Commanders will build and is where ore is produced. Ore is the most plentiful resource in the game, and the one you'll use to create and improve most of your buildings and ships. You can assign workers (human or droid) there to increase production. For more information, including detailed costs, energy use, and production, see the Ore Mine page.

Crystal Mine

The Crystal Mine produces crystal, a valuable resource in building electronics. Most ships and buildings, and many technologies, require crystal. You can assign workers (human or droid) there to increase production. For more information, including detailed costs, energy use, and production, see the Crystal Mine page.

The Hydrogen Synthesizer

The Hydrogen Synthesizer makes the fuel used in fusion-powered devices. It uses electricity to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen in water. The most valuable resource in the game, hydrogen is used as fuel to move your ships around and to power bigger and better buildings and technologies. You can assign workers (human or droid) there to increase production. For more information, including detailed costs, energy use, and production, see the Hydrogen Synthesizer page.

Solar Array

The Solar Array produces the electricity that powers your mines. Electricity in Starfleet Commander is persistent, you don't gain it hourly and you don't use it up to build things like you do other resources.
