Doesn't really seem worth making until you realize the cost of a lvl 4 factory is 6000 Ore, 1800 crystal, and 3000 Hydrogen. So you build your lvl 4 factory and one of these and you have as many droids/crew as you need throughout the galaxy. at a much reduced cost.
Can also be used as a custom fleet option for the "raid the unguarded mine" missions...if the rst of your fleet is tied up somewhere and you have a free fleet slot. -of course custom fleets for missions are no longer allowed.
