Bashing would be the term used if a single player attacked the same planet more than 6 times in a 24 hour period.
It is not considered bashing if the alliances each player belongs to are at war.
The game mechanics prevent bashing, and as such, is not actually possible to "bash" another player, as a seventh attack cannot be launched unless the above condition is met.
Espionage missions that are intercepted, resulting in all probes being destroyed, do not count toward the bashing limit.
