Fleet points is another way of tracking score in Starfleet Commander. You simply receive 1 Fleet Point for every ship that you have (including Hermes Class Probe and Solar Satellite) You can see your total Fleet Points on the upper right hand corner of any page. You can also check how you compare to other players on the Leaders page.
