The Way of the WarriortlhIngan maH - We are Klingon
Klingons who follow the Way of the Warrior, the belief system developed by Kahless the Unforgettable, value honor above all else. Warriors who die an honorable death are said to join Kahless, the first Klingon Emperor, in the Black Fleet in Sto-Vo-Kor, a paradise where battle and feasting can eternally be shared and won. They can even command a Black Fleet Ship in which they endlessly wage glorious combat, against worthy foes who have also entered the ranks of the dead.
About the AllianceSto-Vo-Kor [SVK] is an alliance created by Aga Memnon for former members of the Klingon Black Fleet that were unhappy with the May 2010 scandal involving unapologetic cheating by several members in leadership positions of KBF. In an attempt to play the game fairly and with honor, Sto-Vo-Kor was created as the new home of the Black Fleet. Highlights
Our NAPsWe value Non-Aggression Pacts and honor them in perpetuity. The terms of our NAPs are as follows:
Membership
Inside Sto-Vo-Kor RecruitmentThe goal for the alliance is to be somewhere between 100 and 150 members. That seems to be the sweet-spot for alliance size any more than that becomes congested. New recruits:
When they apply, they provide that information. Failure to provide it results in a request to provide answers to those questions. Any one of the Officers handles a recruitment it depends on who is available and online and in the mood.
They're simple questions with simple answers. They don't need to have a profound justification. RulesSome general guidelines on a code of conduct following the Way of the Warrior as prescribed by Kahless the Unforgettable on Star Trek, TNG, DS9. We will not tell you who you can or can't attack as some alliances do.
LeadershipThe Leadership comes up for re-election every 6 months. The ranks in Sto-Vo-Kor are based on game rank, not some popularity contest based on how you kiss the Leader's ass or play politics. Anyone can become the Leader through hard-work and service to the alliance. OfficersAll Officers share the same duties, there are no people in charge of recruiting or diplomacy or this or that. No bureaucracy. The Officer dealing with an issue is in charge of that particular issue and it doesn't matter what it is about. The Officer presents his findings to the Council, the Council votes. A decision is made. Done. Alliance RanksRanks are not handed out by winning a popularity contest they are attributed by your hard work only and reflected by your Game Rank. End of story!
