The Options page allows you to select various settings in the game.

Default Espionage Hermes Class Probe

Choose if you want the default set to automatic. This means that when you launch a probe in the Galaxy menu you will not have to create a fleet, it will automatically send the default number of probes you have set in the default window. You can still manually send probes through the Espionage link in your probe messages or from the Fleets screen.

Planet Sort Type

You can choose how your planets are displayed at the top of the page. The default setting is the order in which you colonized planets. Or you can choose to order them alphabetically or according to their position in the universe.

Max Missions

Set the mission page's start button to either send fleets one at a time or as many as available.

Mute Alliance

Choose to 'mute' your alliance and not be notified of new posts to the alliance message board.

Mute Buddy

Choose to 'mute' your buddy list and not be notified of new buddy requests.

Block Alliance Invite

Choose to ignore all invitations to join alliances.

Lucky Draw Animation

The game has three choices for the Lucky Draw animation.

  • Normal — Normal animation and selection.
  • Fast — No selection animation.
  • Instant — Automatically selects a card for you.

Disable Auto Escape

Disable automatic escapes when a substantially stronger fleet attacks.

Enable New Layout

Enables the new layout so you can try it out and give us feedback.

Diplomacy Mode

Light Bulb Icon.png Note: This option is only available in these universes: Starfleet Commander Original (Uni 1) and Starfleet Commander Uni 2.

In Diplomacy Mode, you cannot attack or espionage other players and other players cannot attack or espionage you. In return for the protection, you are taxed 25% of all earnings (from mines, missions, etc.) while in Diplomacy Mode. Once you are over 50k resources spent points you are taxed 50% of all earnings. Once you are above 100k resources spent points you are taxed 75% of all earnings.

Turning Diplomacy Mode on or off takes 24 hours. While turning Diplomacy on, you will be unable to send out attacks or espionages during the 24 hour period, but will be available for others to attack or espionage. Your units will defend you as normal.

There is no time limit on Diplomacy Mode, however becoming inactive (i.e. not logging in for 7 days) will turn Diplomacy Mode off and make you available for attack from anyone.

Vacation Mode

Light Bulb Icon.png Note: Vacation Mode is NOT available in the Starfleet Commander Nova or Starfleet Commander Conquest universes.

Vacation Mode allows you to protect and freeze your account if you will be away from the game for an extended period of time. While active, you will not accumulate any resources and you cannot be attacked. Even with vacation mode enabled, you will still be marked inactive (though not attackable) after a period of 7 days and risk account deletion after 35 days. Vacation mode can only be activated if you have no fleets out or building, research, or upgrades pending. Finally, please note that once active, your account will be in vacation mode for a MINIMUM of 48 hours.
