Newbie Protection in Starfleet prevents newer empires from being destroyed, but doesn't apply for any inactive players. The rules are as follows:
- Players with less than 5.000.000 Resources Spent (5,000 Resources Spent Points [also known as Build Points]) cannot attack or be attacked by other players who have more than 5 times their Resources Spent.
- Players under 100.000 Resources Spent (i.e. 100 Resources Spent Points) cannot attack or be attacked.
By the time a player hits 5,000 Resources Spent Points, they should know how to fleet save and resource save.
NOTE: Resources Spent Points are not your ranking number on the Galaxy page. Click "Leaders" and "Resources Spent" to view your Resources Spent Points.
